The Coca-Cola Christmas truck features on television adverts at this time each year and Coca-Cola take their truck on a tour all over the UK to give people the opportunity to see it in real life. I was asked to catch up with it at Asda in Trafford Park, Manchester.
This promotion is unique in the way that fizzy drinks have nothing to do with Christmas but the sight of the iconic truck seems to put everyone in the festive mood. Free drinks were given out on site along with the opportunity to have your photograph taken alongside the truck using your own phone, which you could then take away as a keepsake or to share on social media.
As darkness fell and the lighting stood out against the dark, the crowds were drawn over to the truck and they were given the opportunity to tweet a message that would be displayed on the side of the truck.
The combination of friendly event staff and a good ambient feel made for a great occasion.
