Wedding – Kelly and Daniel at Shrigley Hall

The bride and her bridesmaids getting ready on the Lowther Room inside Shrigley Hall

Kelly and Daniel got in touch with me using the contact form on my website around 9 months before their wedding date to ask me to be their Shrigley Hall Wedding Photographer. Shrigley Hall is an elegant Georgian country house, nestled around 15 miles away from Manchester, set in over 262 acres of grounds, not to mention home to a championship 18-hole golf course. Having shot here before, I know that the Lowther Room (which sits above the stone columns at the front of the building) is the place to be if you want a relaxed open space for your bridal prep with the added bonus of a spacious balcony through a set of double doors. Perfect.

Rick was still recovering from having gone over on his ankle at the previous wedding, so Adam stepped into Rick’s place to take over second-shooting duties and made a great first impression by turning up late! Once forgiven we left him to carry on with Daniel’s prep pictures. The weather gods were undecided on being kind to this couple so they gave us a mixture of sunshine and showers! We were fortunate however to have sunshine blazing through the windows of the Tilden Suite where Kelly and Daniel shared their vows and exchanged rings, before sealing the deal with a kiss at the end.

With the legal part done and a few meet and greet’s from guests, we made our way outside to shoot the confetti walk and BOY THERE WAS A LOT OF CONFETTI! There may still be some confetti in my shoes as I write this… Once the formals were done, we made our way back into the Tilden Suite for the wedding breakfast, which was finished off with 2 speeches. We then made our way outside for some portraits but you guessed it, rain! So we grabbed some images on the beautiful staircase and under the stone columns to stay dry.

The bride and groom share a happy embrace during their first dance at Shrigley Hall

Back into the Tilden Suite for the evening reception, cutting the cake and a first dance to “Perfect Symphony” by Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli. It was an absolute pleasure to be working with this super-relaxed couple and I wish them the very best for their future. A quick shout out to Eamonn and Paige from Shrigley Hall who set the example of perfect customer service and supplier relations.
