Located close to St. Peter’s square in the heart of the city, The Midland Hotel is one of the most iconic hotels and wedding venues in Manchester. Built in 1903 it boasts playing host to kings, queens, presidents, prime ministers and rock stars. Sir Winston Churchill often stayed at the hotel, and many stories about his time there relate to his impressive appetite. Charles Rolls and Henry Royce were introduced at The Midland Hotel in 1904, and went on to launch their luxury car business together, building the first Rolls Royce in Manchester. Wedding Spaces at the Midland Hotel
The Midland Hotel in Manchester is able to cater for all kinds of wedding celebrations, from intimate occasions to the grand affairs. There are a choice of function rooms to suit the size of your planned occasion. The Trafford Room is the jewel in the crown of the Midland’s function rooms. A light and airy space, decorated with exquisite plasterwork, easily seating up to 160 guests. The Lancaster Suite is decorated with original Edwardian oak panelling, perfect for intimate ceremonies and seating up to 90 guests. The Derby Suite is perfect for medium sized weddings, seating up to 100 guests. The Stanley Suite boasts wood panels and two ornamental fireplaces, seating up to 80 guests. For the most intimate occasions the Midland Hotel offers the Rolls and Royce Suites – these suites are almost identical, decorated in the rococo style and offering seating for up to 24 guests.
